This is crazy: Naomi Osaka tweets after US Open victory

New York: Japanese tennis star  Naomi Osaka on SUnday described her US Open Women's singles title victory as 'crazy'.

She tweeted: "This is crazy."

The Japanese player defeated Victoria Azarenka in a compelling US Open final and claimed her third Grand Slam title.

She defeated her opponent 1-6 6-3 6-3 for her second US Open title.

"I feel like two years ago, I maybe would have folded being down a set and a break," Osaka was quoted  as saying by US Open website after the match, recalling the differences between Saturday's win and her first in 2018.

"But I think, all the matches that I played in between that time shaped me and made me or forced me to mature more. Especially all the matches that I've played here were very tough," she said.

"I think definitely I'm more of a complete player now. I feel like I'm more aware of what I'm doing," she said.
