Third Test, Day 1: India post 56 for 4 at lunch against England

Leeds/UNI: India were reeling at 56/4 at lunch on the opening day of the third cricket Test against England, here on Wednesday.

Opener Rohit Sharma (15) was unbeaten at the crease at the end of first session, which belonged to England.

Veteran pacer James Anderson struck thrice in the first hour to dismiss KL Rahul (0), Cheteshwar Pujara (1), and Virat Kohli (7).

Thereafter, Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma tried to steer India back to game. But, Ollie Robinson then dismissed Rahane at the stroke of the lunch for 18.

Brief Scores: India 1st innings: 56 for 4 in 25.5 overs (Rohit Sharma 15; James Anderson 3/6).
