Third ODI: Neesham's 57 help New Zealand post 285 against India

Mohali, Oct 23 (IBNS): Heroic knocks by James Neesham (57) and Matt Henry (39*) helped New Zealand post a competitive 285 for the loss off all wickets in the crucial third Test against India here on Sunday.

India will look to bounce back in the series following their defeat in the second Test against the visitors.

Neesham hammered seven boundaries in his innings.

Kedar Jadhav , picking up three wickets, gave some jolt to New Zealand as the visitors bounced back sharply after being reduced to 8-199 at 37.5 overs in the game.

Tom Latham (61) and Ross Taylor (44) contributed sharply with their willows early in the innings.

Umesh Yadav picked up three wickets for India.

The series is currently balanced 1-1.
