Test: Warner smashed 101 to take Aus to 348/2
David Warner smashed his third ton of the series as he posted 101 with his willow and added 200 runs in the first wicket partnership with Chris Rogers (95).
After the duo departed, it was Shane Watson (61*) and skipper Steve Smith (*82*) who joined for a 144-run unbeaten third wicket partnership which helped Australia reach a comfortable position at the end of the day.
Both the batsmen played the Indian bowlers easily with Warner smashing 16 boundaries in his 114- ball knock.
Smith hit 10 boundaries and Watson smashed six fours as they will be commencing the play from Wednesday.
Indian bowlers looked toothless and they remained ineffective on the first day. It was R Ashwin and pacer Mohammed Shami who picked up a wicket each but the rest failed to perform.
India is playing under the leadership of new Test skipper Virat Kohli.
Australia have already won the series.
They are 2-0 up in the series.
