Tarush Bagai fails to make it to DKS ITF Juniors mains
Kolkata, Jan 14 (IBNS): Top seed in the qualifying draw of Boys Singles Under 18, Tarush Bagai failed to make it to the mains as he gets whitewashed by the unseeded Divesh Galot, at the ongoing DKS ITF JUNIORS 2018, been held at the red clay courts of the Dakshin Kalikata Sansad.
Galot pocketed the first five games of the opening set in less than 20 minutes, after which Bagai could somehow manage to hold serve but eventually he dropped the set by a clean 1-6. In the second too, it was a one-sided affair as Galot proved to be too good for the top seed, thereby securing a spot in the main draw of Boys Singles Under 18 with a 6-1,6-1 win.
Fourth seed in Girls Singles Under 18, Aanya Goel of USA failed to make it to the mains as she went down in a close 3-setter encounter against 5th seeded Pooja Ingale by a long 6-3,5-7,4-6 in the final qualifying round on Sunday.
