Suryakumar Yadav, wife Devisha welcome baby girl; cricketer shares heartwarming post

Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav and wife Devisha Shetty welcomed a baby girl on Thursday.

Announcing the happy news on Instagram, the India national cricket team T20 captain wrote: “With giggles, bows, and dreams to unfurl - we welcome our baby girl.”

Mumbai Indians star misses team travel

The Mumbai Indians batter was not part of the first batch of players that travelled to Raipur ahead of their Indian Premier League 2026 clash against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Sunday.

Yadav had captained the Mumbai Indians in their previous match against the Lucknow Super Giants.

Teammates, including Deepak Chahar, congratulated the couple on social media.

Wife who changed his career

Suryakumar has often credited Devisha for transforming his cricket journey.

He married Devisha Shetty, a trained dancer and a dance coach, on July 7, 2016.

He previously revealed that in 2018, she asked him a blunt but powerful question: “If you want to play for India, how do you plan to do it?”

That conversation, he said, became a turning point in his career.

Now, after years of cricket highs, Suryakumar and Devisha begin a new innings as parents, with fans and teammates flooding them with wishes.
