Sunrisers Hyderabad beat RCB by five runs in thrilling IPL encounter

Hyderabad, May 8 (IBNS): In a chilling encounter that went down to the limit, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by five runs in an IPL match here on Monday.

Sunrisers batted first to post 146 runs on the scoreboard. RCB picked up the challenge but were only restricted to 141 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs.

Hyderabad skipper Kane Williamson used all his tricks to his fullest to manage a victory for the home side.

Williamson shined with the bat as he scored 56 runs with his willow.

He smashed five boundaries and two sixes in his 39-ball knock.

Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladesh skipper, added 32-ball 35 runs with his willow.

Mohammed Siraj and Tim Southee kept things tight for Hyderabad as both took three wickets each for RCB.

In return, RCB kept losing wickets at regular interval to make things worse for them in the run chase.

Skipper Virat Kohli top scored with his 39 runs.

Shakib Al Hasan took two wickets for Hyderabad.
