Steve Smith won't challenge sanctions by Cricket Australia over ball-tampering incident
Sydney, Apr 4 (IBNS): Suspended Australian cricketer and former skipper Steve Smith has said he won't challenge the sanctions of a one-year ban imposed on him by the Cricket Australia over the ball-tampering incident.
Taking all responsibilities of the incident as the captain of the side, Smith said on Twitter that he has accepted the sanctions.
Smith also said he "would give anything" to return to the national side.
His tweet reads, "I would give anything to have this behind me and be back representing my country. But I meant what I said about taking full responsibility as Captain of the team. I won’t be challenging the sanctions. They’ve been imposed by CA to send a strong message and I have accepted them."

Prior to CA's ban, Smith was banned for a Test by ICC after the entire ball tampering episode came to light during the third Test match against South Africa.
Smith and David Warner, his deputy, were handed 12 months ban from playing international cricket by the Australian cricket board.
Cameron Bancroft, who was caught red-handed during the act, has been suspended by CA from all forms of cricket for nine months.
