Sydney, Aug 21 (IBNS): Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc on Sunday added a record to his name by becoming the fastest bowler to pick up 100 wickets in ODIs.

The record was achieved during Australia's first ODI against Sri Lanka in Colombo.

The Australian bowler added the feather to his cap as he made Dhananjaya de Silva caught at midwicket off a slower ball.

It was his 52nd career match.

He broke the record of Pakistani spinner Saqlain Mustaq.
