Shoaib Akhtar posts cryptic message over 'no ball' bowled to Virat Kohli by Nawaz during India-Pak clash

| @indiablooms | Oct 24, 2022, at 02:23 am

Islamabad: Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar seems not to be happy with the decision taken by umpires for adjudging a ball bowled by left-arm spinner Mohammad Nawaz to Virat Kohli, which he smashed for a six and changed the course of the match further in the final over the World Cup T20 clash, a no ball.

Nawaz bowled a low full toss and Kohli asked it to be reviewed for a no ball.

The umpires eventually called it a no ball as India properly utilised the free hit and later won the match in the final delivery.

Interestingly, the incident happened in the 20th over of the Indian innings.

Shaoib, clearly not pleased with the decision, tweeted a cryptic message: " Umpire bhaiyo, food for thought aaj raat k liye."

He described the clash between India and Pakistan as a 'hard fought match'.

" Tough luck. This was a hard fought match for sure. These nail biters make this the biggest sports rivalry in the world," he tweeted.

Hashtag no ball is also  trending on Twitter.

India's run machine Virat Kohli played a scintillating knock of unbeaten 82 runs to help India beat Pakistan by four wickets in a high-voltage T20 World Cup Super 12 stage match here on Sunday.

After restricting Pakistan to 159 runs for the loss of eight wickets, led by Kohli, India reached the winning target of 160 runs by losing six wickets.

Kohli, who was adjudged the Player of the Match, hammered six boundaries and four sixes in his dashing knock which changed the course of the game.
