Sania-Martina win WTA Finals

Singapore, Nov 1 (IBNS): Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza and her doubles partner Martina Hingis on Sunday clinched the ninth title of the year after they won the WTA Finals here.

They won the title by beating Spanish pair of Garbine Muguruza and Carla Suarez Navarro in the final clash.

The Indo-Swiss pair beat their opponents by 6-0, 6-3 margin.

The match lasted for 66 minutes.

"It's incredible. I feel like it was a perfect day," Hingis was quoted as saying by the official WTA webiste.

"On court, off court, we have a lot of fun," Mirza said.

"To play in tournaments like this is what we've fought all our lives for and it's incredible to play in front of a packed stadium," he was quoted as saying by the website.

The pair is currently unbeaten for 22 matches. They have been  officially crowned 2015's best doubles team.
