| @indiablooms | Jul 08, 2024, at 11:18 pm

Opening partner Sachin Tendulkar wrote a special 'cricketing message' to wish former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly on his birthday on Monday.

Sourav Ganguly, who is known for his aggressive captaincy and for guiding India to World Cup 2003 final, turned 52.

"Sending you birthday wishes from the onside, hoping they reach you on the offside, @SGanguly99," Tendulkar posted on X.

Under his leadership, India won the Test series against Australia in 2001, the NatWest series win in 2002, and the Champions Trophy in 2002 (joint-winners with Sri Lanka).

He also led his side from the front which defeated Pakistan in their backyard in both ODI and Test series.
