Rishabh Pant first India wicketkeeper to score century in Australia

Sydney, Jan 4 (IBNS): Rishabh Pant on Friday became the only wicketkeeper from India to score a century in Australia.

Pant score his first ton and his second in Test cricket in the fourth and final Test against Australia here on Friday. He reached his 100 in 137 deliveries.

Before Pant, Farokh Engineer was the highest scoring Indian wicketkeeper in Australia. He had scored 89 in Adelaide in 1967.

Earlier, Cheteswar Pujara was dismissed at 193.

India have scored a mammoth 622 in the first innings. Pant remained unbeaten at 159.

India are currently placed 2-1 in the four-Test series.
