Jamshedpur, Apr 17 (IBNS): Jamshedpur FC on Tuesday said it is delighted to announce the signing of Indian defender Pratik Chowdhary on a one-year deal.

Pratik originally hails from Mumbai and has been playing his trade in professional football since 2011.

The 28-year-old has already played for major Indian clubs like Air India, Rangdajied United, Mohun Bagan, Mumbai FC in the I-League and has represented Kerala Blasters and Delhi Dynamos in the Indian Super League.

He represented Delhi Dynamos for 9 matches in the recently concluded ISL 2017-18 season.

On Signing with Jamshedpur FC, Pratik added, “I felt really glad when I was given the opportunity to be a part of Jamshedpur FC and I didn’t have to think twice to say to such a balance side with such a huge fanbase. I have been lucky enough to play under Steve and Wally previously. I have learnt a lot from them and which makes it easy for me to adapt to the system,”

Jamshedpur FC, CEO, Mukul Choudhari added, “We have been tracking Pratik for a while and I am delighted that he will be a part of our squad for the upcoming season. He is versatile as a defender and can be used in various roles across the defensive unit. We welcome him to Jamshedpur FC.”
