Pink Ball Test: India end day at 9/1, take 62 runs lead against Australia at stumps

Adelaide: India extended their lead to 62 runs against Australia at the end of the second day of the opening Test match of the 4-match series here on Friday.

India added nine runs for the loss of one wicket at stumps.

Mayank Agarwal (5*) and Jasprit Bumrah (0*) will resume proceedings on third day.

India started their second innings with a jolt when Pat Cummins picked up the wicket of Prithvi Shaw (4).

Shaw's struggle with the willow continued and he was bowled out by Australian pacers in both the innings.

India bowled out Australia for 191 runs, taking a lead of 53 runs.

Tim Paine remained one bright spot in the Australian innings as the skipper hammered fighting 73 not out in the first innings that was dominated by Indian bowlers.

R Ashwin picked up four wickets.

India earlier in the day were bowled out for 244 runs.
