Paul Neary Academy unveils jerseys for 3 Kolkata football clubs
Kolkata/IBNS: Paul Neary Academy, in collaboration with Amuzi Sports, on Saturday launched new jerseys for three Kolkata football clubs -- Kalighat Friends Club, Cossipore Saraswati Club, and Saradacharan Club -- at West Bengal Volleyball Association in the city.
The ceremony highlighted the essential support required by small clubs to thrive and produce players capable of representing India on international platforms.
Paul Neary, the former Manchester United coach, and Kartik Seth, a former footballer known for his contributions to Indian football, graced the event.
In his address, Kartik Seth emphasized the potential of Bengal’s football talent.
"These clubs are the bedrock of football in the region. With adequate financial support and proper coaching, we can see more players from Bengal making their mark on the international stage," Seth said, underscoring the need for investment in training facilities and player development.
Paul Neary echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the historical importance of Bengal in Indian football.
"Bengal has always been a football hub, but the clubs need resources to maintain their legacy. Proper funding and coaching can transform the future of these young players," Neary said.
The newly launched jerseys, designed with inputs from both Paul Neary Academy and Amuzi Sports, symbolize a fresh beginning for the clubs.
