Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker's coach discovers house demolition notice upon arrival in India

National pistol coach Samaresh Jung, who guided Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh to Olympics medal in Paris, returned to India earlier this week to a distressing news.

Upon his arrival in India, Jung discovered a notice for the demolition of his house, which is an "illegal construction".

Jung has been given only 48 hours to vacate his house, which is located in Delhi's Civil Lines area.

Though he approached the court with a petition seeking two months' time to vacate the house, Jung claims it was rejected.

"My family has been living here for the last 75 years since the 1950s. It is disheartening," he told Times Now.

"Does anyone really deserve to be subjected to this. Generations have lived here. It is not a dignified way of handling things. We were giving rents and taxes to the LNDO (Land and Development Office)," said the 54-year-old, who won seven gold, five silver and two bronze medals in the 2006 and 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Indian shooters Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh made the country proud by winning the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team shooting event of the Paris Olympics on Tuesday.

Manu became the first Indian shooter to win two medals in the same Olympics.

Manu had won the bronze medal in the women's 10m air pistol event earlier.
