NZ beat India 1-2 in Sultan Azlan Shah Cup clash

Ipoh, Apr 6 (IBNS): India went down fighting against New Zealand in their second match of the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup here on Monday.

New Zealand beat the Asian side 1-2.

India, however, gave a tough battle to the side despite losing the clash.

New Zealand Captain Simon Child and Andy Hayward hit goals and they managed to cinch the victory for the side.

Akashdeep Singh scored the only goal for India.

India drew against South Korea 2-2 in their first clash of the tournament on Sunday.

The Asian side will next play Malaysia on Apr 8.
