Nagpur Test : India 11/1 in reply to Sri Lanka's 205

Nagpur, Nov 24 (IBNS) : India made a bad start losing Lokesh Rahul's wicket as the hosts were 11 for one in reply to Sri Lanka's first innings total of  205  at the end of the first day of the second test which saw the fall of 11 wickets on a single day.

At stumps were Murli Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara, both scoring 2 after Rahull fell to Gamage at 7 only in the third over.

Earlier, going to bat after winning the toss, Sri Lanka scored a paltry 205 before being all out. Their total was built on  a patient knock of opener Karunaratne (51) and skipper Dinesh Chandimal (57).

Indian spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja shared seven wickets between them with the former claiming four, while pacer Ishant Sharma picked up the rest giving away only only 37 runs.

Indian bowlers struck at regular intervals to bring in advantage for the home team, which the batsmen must hold on to take lead in the series after rain played spoilsport to rob them a victory in the first test at the Eden Gardens.
