Mumbai/IBNS: Indian cricketer Sarfaraz Khan's brother Musheer Khan on Tuesday broke cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar's 30-year-old record in the Ranji Trophy final, which is underway between Mumbai and Vidarbha here.

On the third day of the final match, Musheer, 19, slammed a much-needed century for Mumbai, shattering Tendulkar's record of youngest batter to slam a ton in the final of the domestic tournament.

Musheer slammed 136 from 326 balls, courtesy 10 fours, and stitched two vital partnerships with captain Ajinkya Rahane and then Shreyas Iyer.

Tendulkar had slammed a century at the age of 21 during the 1994-1995 Ranji Trophy final, which was also played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

The cricket legend, who had scored 140 in the final, was present in the stadium when Musheer hit the hundred.
