Mumbai/UNI: Rajasthan Royals clinched a resounding victory against the Mumbai Indians in the 14th match of the Indian Premier League hosted here on Monday, marking the hosts' third successive defeat under the leadership of Hardik Pandya.

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Rajasthan's skipper, Sanju Samson, made a calculated decision that paid dividends as his team's bowling attack wreaked havoc on the Mumbai Indians' batting lineup.

Struggling against the relentless onslaught led by Trent Boult and Yuzvendra Chahal, the Mumbai Indians could only muster a modest total of 125 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.

In response, Rajasthan Royals encountered early setbacks but showcased resilience to successfully chase down the target. Despite the fall of key wickets such as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, and Sanju Samson, the team found stability through Riyan Parag's exceptional performance.

The match witnessed a captivating display of bowling prowess from the Rajasthan Royals. Trent Boult left an immediate impact, claiming two wickets in his opening over, destabilizing Mumbai's batting lineup.

Yuzvendra Chahal, meanwhile, delivered a masterclass, conceding a mere 11 runs while scalping crucial wickets, including that of Hardik Pandya, who appeared threatening at the crease.

Chahal's dismissal of Pandya marked a pivotal moment in the match, stalling Mumbai's resurgence when they seemed poised for a comeback.

Furthermore, Chahal's pivotal dismissals of Tilak Verma and Gellard Coetzee further quashed Mumbai's aspirations of setting a formidable target.
