Mumbai City FC signs Freddie Ljungberg

Mumbai, Sept 18 (IBNS): Mumbai City FC on Thursday said it has signed Sweden footballer Freddie Ljungberg as their marquee player for the upcoming Indian Super League (ISL).

The club tweeted: "Give a warm #Mumbai welcome to our marquee signing! The one and only, .@freddie. #WelcomeFreddie!"

The footballer said he is looking forward to play in the ISL.

He tweeted: "Just signed with Mumbai City FC. Gonna be some exciting months ahead!Looking forward to it :-) @MumbaiCityFC #India #ISL."
