Mohammed Shami ruled out of Asia Cup

Mumbai, Feb 20 (IBNS): Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been ruled out of the Asia Cup.

The BCCI medical team confirmed on Friday that the pacer has been ruled out of the tournament.

"The decision has been taken to give him more time to recover from the Grade II injury to his left hamstring," the BCCI said in a statement.

The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Bhuvneshwar Kumar as the replacement.
