Lungi Ngidi feels happy after picking up six wickets against India

Centurion, Jan 17 (IBNS): South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi, who picked up six Indian wickets to destroy the opponents in the second Test match of the series, on Wednesday said he was happy with his performance against the top ranked side in the world.

He took six wickets by giving away 39 runs in the second innings of the Test match as South Africa defeated the visitors to clinch series.

Lungi Ngidi said after the match: "At the moment it hasn't sunk in, I'm chaffed and very happy. It's been quick turnaround for me. "

The South African made his debut for the homeside in this match.

"Luckily enough, it [the debut] was on my home ground. The support was great. [Stuck] to the basics you know. The odd one that nipped back was getting the wickets. Definitely wasn't the fastest SuperSport pitch but we had to make do with what we were given. We pretty much put them under pressure," he said.

South Africa won the series with one more Test match of the series left to be played.

South Africa defeated Virat Kohli and his men by 135 runs.
