Kolkata: Madras Boat Club, Lake Club hold centre stage in 80th ARAE-FEARA Regatta

Kolkata/IBNS: Madras Boat Club (MBC) from Chennai and hosts Lake Club held the Centre stage reaching finals of four events each in the open sections of the ongoing 80th ARAE-FEARA Regatta Championship at Rabindra Sarobar lake in Kolkata on Wednesday.

Two other contenders, Bengal Rowing Club (BRC) and Calcutta Rowing Club (CRC), also did well to enter the finals of three and two events in this meet respectively.

While MBC will figure at the title clashes in Pairs, Double Scull and Coxless Fours for men, their women's team will also be seen in action in the Double scull final.

Lake Club will figure in the finals of Single Scull and Pairs for men and Single Scull and Fours events for women.

BRC have reached the finals of Single and Double Scull for women and Coxless Fours for men.

The summit clashes where CRC would appear are Single and Double Scull for men.

At the title clashes for men's Fours, MBC will meet BRC and then take on CRC at Double Scull and LC in Pairs finals while their women counterparts will face BRC in the Double scull event.

In the other finals LC will meet CRC in the men's Single Scull and BRC in the women's Singles Scull.

In the women's Fours final LC will be challenged by BRC.
