Kolkata hosts football tournament for Nepal earthquake victims

Kolkata, May 29 (IBNS): A three- day football tournament was organised to support victims of Nepal earthquake at the Ram Lila ground in Kolkata recently.

Eight teams participated in this unique football tournament organised by VCN Network in association with West Bengal Motion Picture Artist’s Forum.

The final match of the VCN Friendship Cup was played between FIFA Coaching Centre and Morning Star Club, the match was followed by a short exhibition match between the few Tollywood celebrities and the organisers

According to the organisers, the donation collected from sponsors and the spectators of the match will be directed to the city mayor’s fund.

Nepal was hit by a severe earthquake last month, measuring 7.9 on the Richter Scale, which claimed  over 8,000 lives.
