Indian batsman KL Rahul is leading Team India against South Africa in the second Test, which began here on Monday, in absence of Virat Kohli who has suffered an injury.

Kohli is missing the Test due to "upper back spasm", the Indian cricket board (BCCI) said.

Meanwhile, Rahul has won the toss and elected to bat first in the match.

Hanuma Vihari has been picked to replace Kohli, the premier Indian batsman who is going through a rough patch.

South Africa have made two changes to their side by bringing in Kyle Verryenne for Quinton de Kock and Duanne Olivier for Mulder.

India are ahead in the three-match Test series 1-0.
