Srinagar/IBNS: J&K Bank FC beat Kashmir Avengers FC to retain their Premier Division Football League title.

After the league phase involving 16 teams divided into two groups, J&K Bank FC and Kashmir Avengers FC were the ones that made it to the final.

While J&K Bank was defending the title, Kashmir Avengers FC, a newly formed professional club, was playing in its maiden tournament deciding contest.

Contrary to expectations that J&K Bank FC will dominate the game, it was Kashmir Avengers FC that dominated the early phases and almost snatched the title from them.

It was in the eighth minute of the game that Kashmir Avenger's Kelvin was able to attain the first goal of the match.

Despite J&K Bank FC's efforts, their rival team was unable to score an equaliser in the first half.

The first half was mostly dominated by Kashmir Avengers FC and at the end of it the score was 1-0 in favour of the Avengers.

In the second half, the experienced J&K Bank FC team bounced back with the help of their star striker Aakif Reshi who equalised the score in the 50th minute through a header and then scored the winner in the 60th minute.

The match ended with 2-1 scoreline in favour of the J&K Bank FC.
