Iran extends postponement of sports events over COVID-19
Tehran/Xinhua/UNI: Iranian authorities have extended the postponement of all sports events in the country until May 20 due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, official IRNA news agency reported.
The announcement was made by Iran's National Headquarters for Managing and Fighting the Coronavirus.
Iran Sports Medicine Federation and Ministry of Sport and Youth had already called off all sports activities until April 18 after the outbreak of first cases of the illness in mid-February in Iran.
