IPL: KKR captain Eoin Morgan fined for slow overrate in MI match

Abu Dhabi/IBNS: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Eoin Morgan has been fined Rs. 24 lakh for maintaining slow overrate in the match against Mumbai Indians (MI).

The rest of the team members have been fined lesser of either Rs. six lakh or 25 per cent of individual match fee.

An all-round performance helped KKR to defeat MI by seven wickets in the match Thursday.

Batting first, MI scored 155/6 in 20 overs.

For MI, Quinton de Kock scored 55 off 42 balls while skipper Rohit Sharma contributed 33.

In reply, KKR marched to victory scoring 159/3 in just 15.1 overs.

Rahul Tripathi (74 off 42) and Venkatesh Iyer (53 off 30) almost single-handedly helped KKR to chase down the target.
