Visakhapatnam, May 9 (UNI): A blistering knock by Rishabh Pant (49) and Prithvi Shaw (56) helped Delhi Capitals to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad by two wickets in the IPL eliminator here at the YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

With this loss, Hyderabad's journey ended in the 12th edition of the cash-rich tournament, while Delhi will meet Chennai Super Kings in qualifier 2.

Put into bat, Hyderabad posted a total of 162 against Delhi, with a loss of eight wickets.

In reply, Iyer-led Delhi got a tremendous start as the opening duo of Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan added 66 runs for the first wicket. But, Dhawan departed on a score of 17 runs off 16 balls. He was stumped by Wriddhiman Saha on Deepak Hooda's ball in seventh over.

Later, skipper Iyer joined Shaw and both added few runs, but he too failed to support him and departed on a score of just eight runs.

However, Shaw, on the other hand, single-handedly kept the score board running and added 56 runs off 38 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes, before falling to Khaleel Ahmed. He was caught by Vijay Shankar over Ahmed's ball.
