IPL: Bumrah, Rana penalised

Pune/UNI: Mumbai Indian (MI) fast bowler Jaspirt Bumrah and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Nitish Rana have been penalised for breaching the Indian Premier League (IPL) Code of Conduct during their match, it was announced on Thursday.

"Nitish Rana has been reprimanded and fined 10 percent of his match fee for breaching the Code of Conduct during his team's match against MI at Pune," a statement said.

Rana admitted to the Level 1 offence and accepted the sanction.

"Bumrah (also) admitted to the Level 1 offence ... and accepted the sanction. For Level 1 breaches, the Match Referee's decision is final and binding," it added.

KKR secured a 5-wicket win over MI here at MCA Stadium on Wednesday.
