| @indiablooms | Nov 28, 2023, at 03:19 am

Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya will be playing the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 in the blue jersey of Mumbai Indians, where the star allrounder shifted from Gujarat Indians.

Hardik, who was the Gujarat captain, was traded by the franchise to Mumbai at Rs. 15 crore which was his remuneration.

Additionally, Gujarat will have to pay a transfer fee to Mumbai. Gujarat will also have to pay half of the transfer fee to Hardik.

The trading occurred after the deadline for the franchise to announce the list of players retained or released crossed.

Hardik was in the squad of Gujarat even at deadline but later was traded.

Hardik, who is Team India's vice-captain, won the titles for Mumbai four times.

In Gujarat's inaugural season, Hardik, who was the captain, won the title in 2022. He went on to lead the franchise to the final in the 2023 edition, where they lost to MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings.

Meanwhile, Mumbai have traded Cameron Green to Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the auction which will be held on December 19.ย
