Mumbai/IBNS: India's new T20 batting sensation Suryakumar Yadav slammed a terrific 100 to power his Mumbai Indians to win over Gujarat Titans by 27 runs in the 57th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) here on Friday.

An unbeaten 103 off 49 balls by Suryakumar swept Gujarat out of the park for the first half of the match setting 219 as target for the visitors. Mumbai scored 218/5 in 20 overs.

Chasing the mammoth target, Gujarat lost their rhythm right at the start getting reduced to 55/5 at one stage to finally score 191/8 in 20 overs.

Gujarat somehow avoided a defeat by a huge margin courtesy Rashid Khan's heroism towards the end as the Afghan allrounder slammed unbeaten 79 off 32 balls hitting three fours and 10 sixes.

While the defeat won't hurt Gujarat much as they are still at the top of IPL standings with 16 points, Mumbai earned vitals two points to advance to the third spot with 14 points.
