Indian team celebrate Independence Day in Kandy

Kandy, Aug 15 (IBNS): Indian team gathered in Kandy city of Sri Lanka to celebrate Independence Day on Tuesday.

The BCCI tweeted: "#TeamIndia gathered at Kandy to hoist the tri-colour on the occasion of Independence Day #IndependenceDayIndia."

Indian team is currently touring Sri Lanka.

The celebration was surely special for the 'Men in Blue' as they defeated Sri Lanka in Test series by 3-0 margin.

India will now take on the home side in the ODI and T20 series.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli also wished countrymen on the special day with a video message and captioned it on Twitter as: "Wishing everyone a very Happy Independence Day. It's more special for me since it's my Father's B'day also. #IndependenceDayIndia #JaiHind."
