Indian men, women clinch Kabaddi golds

Incheon, Oct 3 (IBNS): India continued their dominance in the Kabaddi event of the Asian Games as the men's team defeated Iran to clinch the gold media here on Friday.

After trailing ta the half-time, Indian team made a remarkable comeback in the match.

To grab the seventh consecutive gold medal in the sporting event, India beat Iran 27-25.

India's women's team also clinched gold by beatingt Iran 31-21 in the final clash.

Congratulating Indian women, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted:"The Indian Women's Kabaddi team has made us very proud. I congratulate them on winning the Gold. A phenomenal accomplishment!"

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel posted on her Twitter homepage: "What a fantastic news to begin the day with! India is proud of Indian Women Kabaddi team for winning gold at #AsianGames2014."
