Mumbai/UNI: India all-rounder Washington Sundar has tested positive for Covid-19 and his availability is now doubtful for the upcoming ODIs against South Africa.

The three-match ODI series will take place between Jan 19-23.

Sundar tested positive last week and is on the verge of finishing the required week-long isolation. All the other South Africa-bound ODI players have returned negative tests and are ready to travel, ESPNcricinfo reported.

The BCCI is figuring out whether Sundar will be able to join the ODI squad, which is scheduled to leave for South Africa this week.

The 22-year-old Sundar is currently in Bengaluru as he was training at the National Cricket Academy with other ODI players.

Sundar was recently part of the Tamil Nadu squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He scored 148 runs in eight matches and picked up 16 wickets.
