Indian cricket team leave for Sri Lanka to play Nidahas Trophy

New Delhi, Mar 4 (IBNS): Indian cricket team have left for Sri Lanka to play the  2018 Nidahas Trophy.

The tri-nation T20 tournament will also feature India and Bangladesh apart from hosts Sri Lanka.

India will play their first match against Sri Lanka on Mar 6.

India and Bangladesh will face each other on Mar 8.

R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo will host all the matches.

Final will be played on Mar 18.

Indian team is led by IPL champion captain Rohit Sharma in the absence of Virat Kohli.

BCCI tweeted: " And we are all ready to Jet Set Go! Here we come! #TeamIndia ."

Several Indian players, including Kohli and MS Dhoni, have been rested for the series.

India just returned from South Africa after winning the ODI and T20 series.

India,however, lost the Test series 2-1.
