India beat New Zealand by 70 runs to reach World Cup final

Mumbai/IBNS: India defeated New Zealand by 70 runs to reach the Cricket World Cup 2023 final on Wednesday.

This is the first time India reached the final since they lifted the trophy in 2011.

Chasing 398, New Zealand were bowled out for 327, thanks to Mohammed Shami's 7/57.

Though Daryl Mitchell (134 off 119 balls) and Kane Williamson (69 off 73 balls) looked ominous for India at one stage, Indian bowlers pulled things back for the men in blue.

Earlier, Virat Kohli (117) and Shreyas Iyer (105) hit centuries to help India score 397/4 in 50 overs.
