Birmingham/UNI: India clinched the three-match T20I series 2-0 after thrashing England by 49 runs in the second T20I at Edgbaston here on Saturday.

Medium-pacer Bhuvaneshwar Kumar poured water on the dreams of England's quest to equal the series by picking up three wickets for just 15 runs and was the chief wrecker for India as they skittled the hosts out for 121.

India had won the first match by 50 runs.

Bhuvneshwar started off in great style as he sent Jason Roy off the very first ball and in the next over had Jos Buttler. Pacer Jasprit Bumrah complemented him perfectly as the pair bowled two maidens and bagged three wickets in the first six overs.

Moeen Ali and David Willey put in a fight, but England kept on losing wickets at regular intervals.

Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal bagged two wickets each, while Hardik Pandya also picked a wicket.

Earlier, Ravindra Jadeja's 46 not out off 29 balls guided to 170/8 in 20 overs.

Richard Gleeson and Chris Jordan dominated the proceedings by shattering India's top order, but Jadeja paved his way through, helping India post a fighting total.

Gleeson claimed the wickets of Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli, while Jordan removed Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Harshal Patel and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Sending India to bat first, Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant gave India a rollicking start, but Gleeson turned the tables in England's favour.
