Hima Das accorded grand welcome in her home district

Guwahati, Sept 11 (IBNS): India’s new track and field sensation Hima Das has been given a grand welcome in her home district Nagaon on Tuesday.

The golden girl has been given grand felicitation at different places in the middle Assam’s district, on the way to her home at Kandhulimari near Dhing after a long period.

People gathered on the route from Guwahati to Nagaon and welcomed Hima.

She was felicitated by various organisations at Nagaon town for her starling performance in the IAAF World Under-20 Athletics Championships in Tampere, Finland and recently concluded Asian Games in Jakarta.

Hima reached Guwahati on Sept 8.

She was accorded a red carpet felicitation by the Assam government.
