Gautam Gambhir offers help to slain J&K cop's daughter,S.P. Vaid appreciates

New Delhi, Sept 5 (IBNS): Indian Cricketer Gautam Gambhir on Tuesday announced he will support Zohra, daughter of slain Jammu Kashmir Police Officer Abdul Rashid, to carry forward her education.

In his tweet, the Indian cricketer said he will help educate "for lifetime" daughter of late cop Abdul Rashid.

Promising to help Zohra, Gambhir tweeted: "Zohra,plz don't let those tears fall as i doubt even Mother Earth can take d weight of ur pain. Salutes to ur martyred dad ASI,Abdul Rashid."

In another tweet, the cricketer said: "Zohra,I can't put u 2 sleep wid a lullaby but I'll help u 2 wake up 2 live ur dreams. Will support ur education 4 lifetime #daughterofIndia."

For this gesture DGP, J&K Dr. S.P. Vaid has personally thanked Gautam Ghambir.

The DGP tweeted,"Support for @JmuKmrPolice martyrs shown by @GautamGambhir will go a long way in boosting the morale of forces & assurance to kin of martyrs."

Zohra’s father ASI Abdul Rashid was killed by unidentified gunmen just three days before Eid.

He was performing his duty at South Kashmir’s Anantnag district during the attack.
