Former Indian cricketer MSK Prasad selected as new chairman of selectors

Mumbai, Sept 21 (IBNS): The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday named former Indian wicket-keeper MSK Prasad as the Chairman of the Senior Selection Committee.

He will replace former cricketer Sandeep Patil.

He will represent South Zone in the panel.

The five-member panel also comprises of names like Gagan Khoda,Sarandeep Singh,Jatin Paranjpe and Devang Gandhi.

The decision was taken during the  87th Annual General Meeting of the BCCI here on Wednesday.

In his International cricket career, 41-year-old Prasad had represented India in six Tests and 17 ODIs.

Meanwhile, in the meeting it was decided that Anurag Singh Thakur, President , BCCI, will represent BCCI in the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Asian Cricket Council (ACC).

Sharad Pawar was nominated as the alternate director for ICC meetings.

Ajay Shirke, Secretary , BCCI, will represent BCCI in the CEC meeting of the ICC, read the statement issued by the board.
