FIFA World Cup: Belgium-England clash for third place today

Saint Petersburg, July 14 (IBNS): Belgium and England will take on each other in the third place playoff match of the FIFA World Cup 2018 at the Saint Petersburg Stadium here on Saturday.

Belgium, though stormed into the semi-finals stage by beating five-time world champions Brazil, failed to reach the World Cup final by losing to France 1-0 on Tuesday.

On the other hand, England had missed out their chance of reaching the final by being outplayed by Croatia 2-1 in the semi-final on Wednesday.

The third place playoff match is scheduled to begin at 7.30 PM IST.
