Emphatic victory for India: Sachin Tendulkar

Antigua/Mumbai: Lauding India for the big win against Windies in the first Test here, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar said Virat Kohli and his men's victory is "emphatic".

Tendulkar tweeted, "Emphatic victory for India! Excellent effort by our pacers, especially @ImIshant in the 1st innings and @Jaspritbumrah93 in the 2nd innings."

India had scored 297 all out in the first innings before bowling out the opponents for 222 runs.

Taking an advantageous lead of 77 runs, Ajinkya Rahane (102), Hanuma Vihari (92) and Kohli (51) led India to take a 418-run lead in the second innings.

Windies were bowled out for 100 in the final innings.
