London, Sept 28 (IBNS): The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has awarded the first central contract to English player Sam Curran.

Curran had made his Test debut in June against Pakistan.

Selectors have awarded 10 Test contracts and 13 white-ball contracts.

"Surrey’s Sam Curran receives a Test contract for the first time," the board said in a statement.

"Jos Buttler and Adil Rashid join Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Chris Woakes as players awarded contracts covering both Test and white-ball cricket," it said.
