Don't burst cracker to save environment, celebrate with a simple diya and sweets: Virat Kohli gives important message to his fans on Diwali

Sydney: Indian skipper Virat Kohli on Friday greeted the nation on Diwali and urged his fans to not to burst crackers to protect the environment.

Kohli posted a video on his Twitter page to wish his fans.

After ending the Indian Premier League journey in the UAE, Kohli and his Team India are currently touring Australia where they will play in all the formats of the game against the home side.

"Happy Diwali," he captioned the video.

"A very happy Diwali from me to you and your families. May God bless you with peace, prosperity and happiness this Diwali," he said in the video.

"Please remember do not burst crackers to protect the environment and have fun at home with your loved ones with a simple diya and sweets on this auspicious occasion," the Indian skipper and batting icon said.
