New Delhi, Dec 23 (IBNS) Indian ODI and T20 skipper MS Dhoni completed 11 years in International cricket on Wednesday.

He had made his debut in a series against Bangladesh  in Chittagong on Dec 23, 2004.

In his first match, he failed to score a single run.

The Ranchi boy over the years became India's loved cricketer and skipper as the country won the inaugural ICC World T20 in South Africa in 2007 and then the World Cup in 2011.

India's most successful skipper in 50 overs format also won the  and ICC Champions Trophy in 2013 for the country.

He announced his retirement from Test cricket last year.

He has played 90 Tests, 270 ODIs and 52 T20 Internationals in his career.

Dhoni failed to defend the World Cup title earlier this year when his team was defeated in the semis by Australia.
