Chennai Super Kings beat Mumbai Indians

Mumbai, Apr 17 (IBNS) Chennai Super Kings stormed past Mumbai Indians to achieve the target of 184 in 16.4 overs with 6 wickets in hand at an Indian Premier League match here at the Wankhede Stadium on Friday.

Chennai Super Kings' opener Dwayne Smith scored 62 off 30 balls while his partner Brendon McCullum smashed 46 off just 20 balls to provide the perfect platform for the middle order in the run-chase.

The opening duo hit 6 sixes and 14 fours during their time at the crease,

Suresh Raina came in at number 3 and scored 43 off 29 balls to seal the match his side.

Raina smashed 2 sixes and 4 fours during his knock.

Earlier in the match, Mumbai Indians managed to put up a formidable total after losing three wickets very early in their innings.

Kieron Pollard(64) and Ambati Rayudu(29) sparkled late in the Mumbai Indians' innings to give their bowlers a competitive score to defend.

Ashish Nehra and Dwayne Bravo picked up three and two wickets, respectively for the Chennai Super Kings.

Mumbai have now lost each of their opening 3 games so far in IPL 2015 whereas Chennai Super Kings won their third game on the trot.
