Boxing Day Test: Australia win toss, India pick up three early wickets

Melbourne: Australia won the toss and opted to bat first in the second Test match against India here on Saturday.

Australia has lost three wickets so far.

After 40 overs the scorecard reads 117/3.

Travis Head  (38*) and Marnus Labuschagne  (39*) are currently at the crease.

Australia have lost the wickets of Joe Burns  (0), Matthew Wade (30) and Steve Smith (0).

Bumrah picked up a single wicket and R Ashwin scalped two to give India crucial breaks.

India lost the first Test when the visitors were bowled out for 36 runs in the second innings.
Australia are 1-0 up in the series.
